This journey is about building something sustainable for your family, no matter how long it takes. 

One of the greatest strengths of home education is the ability to honor how your child actually learns.

The Light Way System teaches you to observe your child closely and work with their natural rhythms and strengths. Whether your child is highly active, needs more processing time, thrives on hands-on projects, or learns best through conversation, you'll gain tools to adapt your approach without forcing them into a predetermined mold.

That said, we want to be transparent: this program doesn't provide specialized support for children with significant developmental or behavioral needs that require therapeutic intervention. If your child needs that level of support, we recommend working with professionals who specialize in those areas alongside this program.

We provide a calendar delivered every two weeks showing exactly what to watch, read or listen to and how long each will take. 

The time needed each week varies based on which videos to watch which range from 5 - 20 minutes with a couple of longer ones, which playbook activities you do and what materials need to be prepared.  

Some weeks are more about watching and learning and preparing for practice. Others are about putting your learning into practice. Practice focuses on applying what you're learning with your children.    

For example: you'll be practicing your skills as a guide through holding Famli circles.  Your practice is not something separate to home learning. You're not adding work on top; you're learning while you do it.

Our group coaching experiences happen once a month and run about 2.5 hours, giving you space to connect with other families, ask questions and meet with your accountability buddy.

We have thought deeply into how to guide your journey without overwhelm. Please keep in mind this is our first cohort and we are counting on you to let us know how well we did.  '

That said, it is a signifcant commitment of time and energy and we recommend planning for 3 - 8 hours a week inclusive of videos, reading, audios, any buddy calls, LIVE coaching calls, creating materials and putting this into practice with your children.

That last one is likely going to take more time because being with your children is always part of your journey. 

No. In fact, one of the core principles you'll learn is how to move away from curriculum-dependent learning.

The Light Way Learning System teaches you to follow your child's natural curiosity and interests, using resources as tools rather than roadmaps. Some families choose to incorporate curriculum materials selectively, while others build learning experiences from scratch. Both approaches can work.

We teach you how to approach choosing a curriculum if or when the need arises from your child. 

You'll leave this program with the clarity and confidence to make those choices for your family. No extra purchases required.

The Foundations Journey isn't formally accredited by a traditional institution.

Upon completion, you'll earn your Light Way Home Educator Certification, a credential that demonstrates you've been trained in a comprehensive, research-based approach to child-led home education.

This certification gives you credibility when explaining your approach to family members, co-parents, or anyone who questions your qualifications. It shows you've been professionally trained by experts in the field.

You're getting in on the ground floor of something that will continue to grow and gain recognition over time.

Your enrollment includes the 12-week journey plus an extra week to finish up. Optional ongoing monthly plans will be available if you’d like to continue afterward. These will include access to future modules as we build them such as advanced Famli practices that require experience in the basics to master. 

If you choose to stop here, you'll have a solid foundation that will serve your family for the long term and a strong base to build your practice as a home learning guide. 

Parents who choose our certification pathway may be invited to train as Light Way Guides supporting new parents to succeed in Foundations. 

In addition there will be advanced Famli practices to learn that there just isn't space for in just 12 weeks of busy family life. We plan include access to these in our ongoing plan offerings. 

As Light Way Learning grows, there will be more opportunities to deepen your practice even further with our Level II course: The Practitioner's Experience.

You could seeing small shifts right away. 

Early results look like this: you'll feel less panicked, more grounded. You'll start observing your child differently. The pressure to "get it right" begins to ease. Your child may start to relax too, sensing that learning doesn't have to feel like a battle.

By the end of the 12 weeks, if you participate fully, you'll have

What we can't guarantee is how long it will take for your child to "do learning again", but hopefully by the end, you'll have reframed your understanding of that question. 

This is a practice that deepens over time. It's not a quick fix, but a sustainable shift in how your family approaches learning together.

The Light Way System is a highly adaptable approach that fits a wide range of ages.

At this time we have focused on ages 5-14 especially in our approach to sharing how Famli works.

But Famli can work with any age. For older teens and younger children, it will be in how it is presented and held.

We've even included a story of a group of 2-5 year olds engaging in making agreements with similar methods in our video on Sharing Power. 

We do plan to more directly support teaching parents how to adapt for younger and older children in our Level II course, The Practitioner's Experience. 

In the meantime we can offer private coaching sessions:

-with Zahra for parents of older teens. 

-with Kim for parents of under 5's. 

For now if  you're in doubt, please book a call to discuss with Zahra if now is the right timing for your family. 

  Expenses to plan for:

1. Printing your playbooks   Most are fine to print in black and white. Some Famli materials that need to last would be better in color and even laminated to last but these are minimal and it's not absolutely necessary. 
2. Supplies for Famli. 
   There are additional materials to gather for Famli. Some will be readily found in your home. Some wil be free, like a stick or a refrigerator box - intrigued? Wherever possible guidance is given on how to make materials for little to no cost. Example costs would be scissors, glue, blu tak, paper. 
   
3. Certification  
   We will be testing our certification process as part of  this first cohort , therefore, your main payment is your valuable feedback. With one exception:

Special certification coaching. 

In order to ensure high standards for certification, you will be asked to share a video recording of you working with your children. Likely this would be while holding circles. We would then watch the video and give you valuable coaching feedback.  

Unfortunately due to our low BETA pricing for such a high touch point course, we do need to charge for this.

Parents who choose our certification pathway will be eligible to apply to join our training program to become a Light Way Guide. 

Once a month, you'll come together with Zahra, Kim and your fellow Foundations parents for a 2.5-hour live experience filled with learning, coaching, practice and connection.

You'll explore topics from the course, bring your real-life questions and challenges, and get personalised guidance on putting child-led learning into practice in your family.

There'll be time to practise new skills, learn from other parents, connect with your accountability buddy and celebrate your progress.

These experiences are designed to help you turn what you're learning into something you can confidently use in everyday family life.
